Snow day and other ramblings..
Oh man, whad up!
It's officially a snow day in Toronto! I can't see anything out the window. Work is cancelled so yay for snow and yay for long weekends!

I went MIA this fall again from the L.J. The touring in Europe was great back in September/October (I miss the UK!) There's pics posted in this group and yeah, I know it's been 4 months since I've been back but oh well. I'm bad for that. I've learned to accept it ;) Now, I'm on a nice long break from touring and just enjoying working on the CD "Hearts For Bullets". Which comes out this.. spring? "The Gun Song" EP comes out on March 14th and pre-orders just started just recently. There's samples of all the tracks on my website and on MySpace

On to the important stuff like how I spent the past 4 months:
- I took off to Cuba in November. This was my first "vacation" in several years and it was all inclusive. I loved it. tons of sun block, pina coladas and my first time snorkeling, what's not to love.
- I spent 2 months watching the "Flight Of the Concords" over, and over and over.. I can quote the entire thing and oh yeah, watched R. Kelly's "Trapped In The Closet" and decided it's probably the funniest movie ever made.
- I went to some great concerts this past fall: M.I.A., IAMX, Trent Moller and The Police (reunion tour! Heh.)
- I dyed my hair dark "espresso" brown! (I will be blonde again by summer, I just needed a bit of a change right now) and no, I didn't go all "hippy". You may not believe this, but I'm actually not a natural blonde! It takes a lot of work and money to keep it up sometimes ;)

Oh and some BIG & exciting news: My keyboardist Joe got engaged to his long time girl friend and one of my best friends Steph!! CONGRATS to both

blepharisma!!!

Thanks for nudging me (you know who you are) to get me to post something. The timing was good so I could also announce the EP to prove that at least I'm finally finishing and releasing some new stuff!!! ;)

	My favourite episode is the one with the "David Bowie" dreams. I've seen that one a bajillion times. Business time is great too. I think that was the first sonng that i saw that got me into the show. Yes, more ramblyness.. I'll try ;) (Reply to this) (Parent)

Far too late. I posted the congrats on his LJ. Don't know how regularly he checks it though, so you may get away with this one.

A bit slower than you'd like? Sounds like my conversations with

alterred from DUST, who's at work on a new album at the moment. Given he's self-producing as well, getting everything done to his satisfaction is an absolute nightmare.

(On the other hand, some of the raw tracks sound absolutely amazing! They've ditched the guitars and gone almost totally electronic)

	Well, I would like the later... ;-) But no what I mean is I need a copy if that's possible. I know Steph cut together My Revenge for that Sonic Seducer DVD. Unless there's some sort of exclusive deal regarding it that one would work, or if not has Steph cut anymore of it together? As an alternative we could show the My Device music video. Yeah, whatever you want! I think you should email Steph for a copy of the "Revenge" video.. my files are a disaster right now but I'll look.. I have the "My Device" video too and no, there's no exclusive deal or anything. I think it's coming out on some other Euro compilation shortly and was on Sonic Seducer.. but I think Revenge was too.. Oh my god, I have no idea. Not like any of that matters though. Nothing's (video wise) has been released in North America though so just let me know what you'll use.

	Welcome back, Jen! I have copies of "The Gun Song" and "Six Seconds on All Sides" on my iPod now (Thank you emusic!) and they're just fantastic! 	Thank ya! The version of "Six Seconds" on the EP is quite different from the "Six Seconds On All Sides" release previously actually. I shortened the title to differentiate the mixes.. oh and it was getting annoying saying the full title all the time ;) I would love to do a "Hearts For Bullets" tour 2008 but I'll have to see ;) (Reply to this) (Parent)

	When did your work call a snow day? York waited until 11:30!! I didn't go in anyway. But sometimes I feel other schools are much nicer to their staff and students. I wish I haven't been so busy these days. But from what I've been hearing, hockey parties may be depressing this year. (Reply to this) (Thread)

I knew about it at 10:00 am but stayed until noon actually. It was crappy to have gone in but I'm not complaining because I wasn't expecting a long weekend!

Also, yeah, the leafs are sucking hard this year and I hate admitting it. I've been out of the loop and haven't seen a full game in months.. I do miss the parties though. We'll plan something.. hmmm.. how about those raptors?! Hahaha! Actually I want to go skating on that Natrel rink made of milk sometime ;P I've just been so busy on weekends with the music.. I'll have more time soon.

	YAY! You are coming to Toronto in a few weeks! Haven't seen you since Christmas so that will be fun My mom said Guelph was really bad. Yay for EProgress! And yay for Steph and Mr. Man!

I'm sure by the time you're doing a show in Toronto again I'll have the "Plastic Fantastic" low light lens for my new camera. I really haven't been covering enough live shows lately, so I haven't actually seen what this thing can do with the kit lens let alone a specialty.

I remember snorkelling around St. Martin. With a roasted back like I got, I can't ever forget--but it was worth it. Hopefully you avoided that extra crispy fate!
